Byalkere Peacock Reserve is always entry closed to the public, Peafowl, (both Peacock and Peahen together called peafowl), related to chicken, and in many ways, they are like the basic barnyard birds you may be used to. For example, peafowl eats just about anything they can scratch, from seeds and other plant parts to insects and spiders. they sometimes even catch bigger creatures including lizards and frogs. they hang out mostly on the ground. But they always flap away from danger up into a tree for the night to sleep.

We visited multiple times to catch the glimpse of peacocks, in our own experience, the best way to see peacocks easily is to wait at a milestone which states “Byalkere Main Road 1.3 km, below is the photo of that milestone, the best time to wait at this location is the time between 7:00 am to 10:00 and in the evening at 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
